Leiden Toastmasters

Looking for something fun to do in Leiden which can also benefit your social and work life? Then look no further – Leiden Toastmasters could be just the thing.

From telling a story to your friends, making a speech at your best friend’s wedding or giving a presentation at work, Leiden Toastmasters helps you to hone the skills that most of us neglect through lack of practice.

We provide a friendly and enjoyable environment where you can practice speaking in front of others, learn to do it well and to enjoy it. Toastmasters offers you the opportunity to try making short speeches on any topic you like, mixed with some highly entertaining impromptu speaking. Following each meeting, we get together in the bar to enjoy some social time with our friends.

For those who wish to do so, Toastmasters also offers the chance to develop your leadership skills, take part in contests both locally and internationally and to develop your network of contacts.

Since 2001, Toastmasters clubs have been active in the Netherlands and new clubs are starting every year. Our Leiden club began in 2011 and became an immediate success.

We meet twice per month on the second and fourth Thursdays at Buddha’s Restaurant in Leiden. We get together around 7:30pm for an 8pm start and each meeting lasts about 90 minutes. Feel free to come along and see how it works. We don’t bite!
